Broward
County's health care industry is state-of-the-art and an integral player
in the local economy. Out of sight, out of mind. Health care is something
you may not think about much during your rushed and time-pressed days
- until an emergency arises. In Broward County, that should not be a
concern: Quality care awaits.
The large number
of physicians and dentists in Broward - 3,346 and 1,042, respectively
- makes health care convenient and accessible. With 28 hospitals and
more than 6,600 hospital beds, crowding is not an issue. According to
the state, about five hospital beds are available for every 1,000 residents.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Health Options.
